Berwick 1707 - Quality Shoes

The name Berwick originates from a crucial historical event for Spain: on 25 April 1707, in the lands of Valencia, Bourbon troops led by the Duke of Berwick won a decisive battle during the War of the Spanish Succession.

This success opened the doors of the Kingdom of Valencia to the Bourbons, allowing Philip V to be proclaimed King of Spain. It is in honor of this important historical figure that the Berwick 1707 brand bears his name.

It is a company founded in the last third of the 20th century, which has always decided to focus on the artisanal quality and durability of its products by introducing an excellent workmanship, the Goodyear Welt system.

This technique is renowned for its strength and longevity and is the foundation of Berwick 1707 shoes, designed to satisfy the most demanding customers. Each shoe is the result of a perfect balance between technology and traditional craftsmanship, a process that requires years of experience and manual skill.

All materials used in shoe production are of European origin and comply with the highest quality and sustainability standards. Manufacturing takes place entirely in the brand's own facilities, allowing for complete control over every stage of the process and ensuring the utmost attention to detail.

Goodyear Welt System - Berwick Women

The Goodyear Welt system on which Berwick production is based was invented on January 24, 1871, by Charles Goodyear Jr., who patented a machine for sewing leather, making a job that until then had been done manually more efficient.

Over the years, other innovations, such as the automatic sewing machine patented by Jan Ernst Matzeliger in 1883, transformed the footwear industry. These breakthrough inventions led to increasingly efficient and accessible shoe production, reducing costs and making quality products available to a greater number of people.

Today, Berwick 1707 shoes are manufactured in Almansa, following the process patented by Goodyear more than 150 years ago. --> Every stage of production is managed in-house, including often outsourced processes such as heel construction or sole manufacturing.

Berwick 1707 represents the union between tradition and innovation, offering shoes that tell a story of craftsmanship, attention to detail and respect for the environment.

Berwick 1707 Women's Fall Winter 2025/26

The Berwick Women's Autumn/Winter 2025-2026 collection has deep roots in the English school of shoemaking, continuing the art of Goodyear construction with a refined look at the modern women's wardrobe.
Each model is designed for a woman who desires valuable and timeless footwear.

The winter season features classic-cut moccasins , reinterpreted with sturdy soles and bolder shapes, brushed leather ankle boots , and lace-ups with slightly square or round toes.

Berwick focuses on premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship. The leather used is vegetable-tanned, the soles are hand-sewn, and every stitching is executed with the precision of those who understand the value of time. The result? Shoes that last, age gracefully, and mold to the foot like a second skin.

The Berwick Women's collection on Sabot.tv offers versatile models, a conscious choice for those who build their style with taste and consistency.
