The history of Timberland footwear dates back to 1973, when the company introduced the Original Timberland Boot , also known as the " Yellow Boot ." This boot was designed to withstand the harsh conditions of New England and quickly became an icon thanks to its durability and waterproofness. The innovative injection-molding technique for the sole, combined with the use of silicone-infused nubuck leather, raised the standards of work footwear of the time.
